all good things...

...and, as i keep telling hippolyta, the memories will live on – indeed, i shan't be in the least surprised if she doesn't write it all up as a sensationally bestselling memoir.

last evening brian and david went to something called mass at the big church in saint mark's square while we chilled out under the christmas tree which will, of course, be coming down tomorrow...

Happy New Year to you from all at the Hippodrome!!

We are looking forward to seeing our Hippolyta back home soon.

But I'm worried that you are both too hyped up with Venetian romance to look after her health.

I'm sure she wasn't following my instructions to wear a vest while outside on balconies or at cafe tables and now I see her sitting on cold stone at night! Unless she's getting through her normal quota of brandy in the evenings, she will catch a chill.

what is her normal quota of brandy in the evening?

She finds it hard to go on stage or perform her famous torch song cabaret without her nightly tipple of one bottle of Metaxa (which she has to drink quickly to avoid tasting too much of it) or half of Remy Martin VSOP. I do hope you haven't been providing less (or more) than that ...

I can assure you, Hattie, Buttons administration of medicinal alcohol have been (like all his attentions) exemplary!
